Sustainable Development Goals:
We believe that Africa development must begin first with Africans themselves and in defining their self-awareness and take on the responsibilities of driving their future.
The continent's problems are pronounced, and Africa nations continue to rely upon funding and policies from overseas and colonialism from the past.
The past often defines our future, and the historical legacy continues to marginalise the continent from the world economies.
African nations continue to model themselves on the European concentric ways of building nation-states, hoping to replicate their past.
Glassmaze Networks cannot see how it will benefit the continent long term if it always seeks funding from external investors and institutions like the World Bank.
African-nations must begin to create the strategies and methodologies that will:
· Create effective leadership and governance for the betterment of the larger population.
· Encourage self-reliance
· Improve education
· Develop efficient transport systems
· Energy and communications infrastructure
· System to deal with corruption
Glassmaze Networks believe a brighter economic future can emerge if governments focus on creating social-structures within local communities, but with a global viewpoint and community spirit. Allowing less focus on the individualistic capitalism that has now followed globalisation, because saying here is the one I made before works well in Europe, but not Africa.
Good leadership skills come from knowing how to manage a small group and being aware of the dynamics that hold the group together.
With entrepreneurship being the buzz word today, it must have localised meaning to the word in an African context, the ability to:
· Think beyond your mindset
· Think creatively creating music in the air
· Put the music on paper
· Get funding
· Get the musicians to play
· Balance the books
With enough people acquiring these core ship and African being the continent with the most under 25's in the world, the growth prospect could start to bring in real investment-driven with Africans themselves.
African-nations needs to invest heavily in its energy and communications infrastructure, creating the opportunity for growth through individuals and entrepreneurs finding new methods of building and marketing renewal technologies that off-grid.
